Satellite Transmission Of Energy For Electricity - A Preliminary Report On The Possibility Of Inadvertant Weather Modification

Quite a few years ago I participated in an assessment of the possible effects on weather of satellite transmission to Earth of energy in the microwave wavelengths in order to generate electric power. With the interest in new energy technologies, this information may be useful. The study found that inadvertent weather modification effects were not likely to be a serious problem (although, of course, this would need to be looked at further), except locally due to the replacement of existing landscape with rectennas.
