The weblog Watts Up With That has been outstanding at communicating to all of us a much needed assessment of the locations where data is collected to monitor long term surface temperature trends.

there are valuable photographs for Ireland sites that we have been alerted to by “richard” [I would like to acknowledge his complete name if he would contact me].
The locations on the Irish Meterological Service website are
1 Belmullet
2 Birr
3 Claremorris
4 Clones
5 Kilkenny
6 Malin Head
7 Mullingar
8 Rosslare
9 Finner
10 Valentia
11 Ballyhaise
12 Oak Park
13 Johnstown Castle
14 Roches Point
in which several (but, unfortunately, not all) have photographs looking at the site from one direction.
While the photographs are certainly not as complete as needed (see for how the photographs should be taken at Watts Up With That), this information about the Ireland sites is still useful new information. As seen in the photos, some of the sites are too close to buildings.
Climate Science urges all readers to send to Watts Up With That information on weather and climate sites around the world.
